  TFI Bikes is a bike-sharing scheme that is conveniently located across the city with 23 stations and approximately 215 bikes on service. The annual subscription fee is 10€ which gives you a TFI Bikes card. With this card, you can hire a bike free of charge for the first 30mins of hire. Thereafter, the charges are as follows:

  Up to 1 hour	€0.50
  Up to 2 hours	€1.50
  Up to 3 hours	€3.50
  Up to 4 hours	€6.50
  Every extra ½ hour	€2.00

  There is a 3-Day Pass option which costs only €3 with a €150 deposit repayable once the bike is returned in good condition. You can buy the 3-Day Pass here.

  If you would like to own your bike outright, there is a local shop in the city that sells some at decent prices called Active Life Store.

• By Bus

Limerick is well-served by a modern bus system mainly run by Bus Ẽireann although there are also private operators like JJ Kavanagh  that run routes such as to Dublin and Dublin Airport. As recommended on the Travel homepage, get yourself a TFI Leap Card for cheaper travel and a fare cap if you will be a regular user of bus services.

Limerick Colbert Station is the city’s railway hub that connects Limerick locally and nationally. As stated on the Travel homepage, we recommend getting a TFI Leap Card for cheaper travel and a fare cap if you will be a regular user of train services.
